Front of House (Catering Operations) Manager
Freemans Event Partners are looking for an experienced Events Catering professional to help lead and support our Catering Operation at London Stadium.
We are responsible for the running of most of the units situated on the concourse at the stadium.
Pay Rate:
Up to £20ph plus holiday pay (depending on experience).
Estimated Hours & Contract:
Casual work - would be an average of 3 days (20-25h) per week.
The Role:
- Oversee 5–10 catering units, including food and coffee across event days and set up days.
- Communicate clearly with all Unit Managers, ensuring high standards of food safety, quality and service are consistently maintained.
- Ensure all units are fully compliant with allergen procedures, including the correct use and completion of allergen sheets and documentation.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and organisation across all Front of House areas throughout the event, ensuring they remain clean, tidy and presentable at all times.
- Ensure all food specifications, recipes and portion controls are followed correctly and consistently across all units.
- Liaise with stock teams to ensure all units are well organised, adequately stocked and prepared to meet anticipated demand and busy periods.
- Take responsibility for stock counting and ordering across all units, ensuring accurate stock levels and minimising waste or shortages.
- Take responsibility for leading, motivating and supporting a team of approximately 30 staff per event.
- Provide hands-on operational support across the units, including resolving minor operational issues where required.
- Monitor cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the event, ensuring all units are thoroughly cleaned, closed down and left in a suitable condition at the end of each event.
- Ensure all units are fully signed off at the end of the event and meet the required standards before handover.
- Report into the Venue Manager, providing updates on operational performance, staffing, stock and any issues arising.
Your Profile:
- Proven catering management experience within an event setting.
- Proven experience managing multiple catering units, stores or F&B outlets within a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
- Strong operational expertise, including stock management and the ability to resolve minor operational issues across units.
- Minimum of Level 3 qualification(s)/certificate(s) across Food Hygiene, Food Safety etc., demonstrating a strong understanding of food safety, allergen management and compliance procedures.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and manage teams effectively
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Knowledge of Bars and/or Coffee units would be useful but is not essential.
