Location: Bolton
Pay: £16.50 per hour
Contract: Casual / Flexible – Event Days Only

Be the person who makes it all happen behind the scenes!

At Freemans Event Partners, we deliver exceptional experiences at some of the UK's most exciting sporting events, festivals, concerts and venues.

As our portfolio of events and venues continues to grow, we're looking for confident, organised and people-focused individuals to join our team as Casual People Event Managers.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who loves working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being at the heart of live events.

You'll be the friendly face welcoming our event workforce, making sure everyone is in the right place, at the right time, and ready to deliver an exceptional experience.

What will you be doing?
As a Casual People Event Manager, you'll be responsible for supporting the smooth delivery of our onsite workforce operations.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Staff Check-In: Welcoming employees onsite, recording attendance and ensuring everyone knows where they need to be.
  • Workforce Coordination: Helping staff find their allocated working areas and supporting operational changes throughout the event.
  • Presentation Standards: Ensuring our teams arrive in the correct uniform and are ready to work.
  • Attendance Monitoring: Tracking lateness, absences, no-shows and staffing movements.
  • People Support: Being the first point of contact for staff queries, welfare concerns and minor onsite issues.
  • Performance Monitoring: Observing staff performance and providing constructive feedback to our People Deployment Team.
  • Timesheets & Reporting: Ensuring hours worked are accurately recorded and submitting clear post-event reports.
  • Communication: Liaising with venue management and our internal People Event Managers to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Who are we looking for?
We're looking for individuals who are:
  • Confident communicators who enjoy working with people.
  • Highly organised, reliable and able to think on their feet.
  • Comfortable managing challenging situations professionally.
  • Proactive problem-solvers who remain calm under pressure.
  • Confident using mobile apps and digital reporting systems.
  • Happy to work independently while being part of a wider team.
  • Flexible to work weekends, evenings and event days as required.

Previous experience in event management, hospitality supervision, workforce coordination or team leadership would be advantageous, but isn't essential.

We're particularly interested in people who have experience managing teams in busy, customer-facing environments.

What can we offer you?
  • Flexible Work: Accept event shifts that suit your availability.
  • Exciting Venues: Work behind the scenes at some of the UK's leading sporting and entertainment events.
  • Full Training: We'll provide the training and guidance you need to succeed, including our workforce management systems and operational procedures.
  • Ongoing Support: You'll have a dedicated permanent People Event Manager to support you.
  • Career Development: Gain valuable experience in event operations, people management and workforce deployment.
  • Variety: No two event days are the same.

How does the role work?
This is a casual, event-based position, meaning you will be offered shifts according to operational requirements and your availability.

You'll receive an event briefing before each assignment, and your primary responsibility will be managing and supporting our workforce onsite.
You won't be expected to recruit or schedule staff. Our permanent People Deployment Team will take care of the planning, allowing you to focus on delivering a fantastic onsite experience.
