Taunton | Casual Event-Based Work | Flexible Shifts

Join the team at Somerset County Cricket Club and be part of the atmosphere at one of the South West’s most iconic sporting venues. We are looking for friendly, energetic Baristas to support busy matchdays and events throughout the season.

Working within a fast-paced beverage and food unit, you will prepare coffee, smoothies, milkshakes, and serve fresh doughnuts, helping deliver an excellent experience to thousands of guests enjoying live cricket and events.

The Role

As a Barista, you will help deliver fast, efficient service while maintaining high product quality and presentation standards.

Key responsibilities

  •  Prepare and serve a range of coffees, teas, smoothies, and milkshakes
  •  Serve doughnuts and sweet treats to customers 
  •  Provide friendly, confident customer service 
  •  Operate tills and handle transactions accurately 
  •  Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the unit 
  •  Restock milk, syrups, fruit, doughnuts, cups, and other supplies during service 
  •  Work efficiently as part of a team during busy periods 
  •  Follow food hygiene and safety standards at all times 
  •  Ensure drinks and food are presented consistently and to a high standard 
About You

Ideal candidates will be:

  •  Confident working in a fast-paced environment 
  •  Friendly and approachable with great communication skills 
  •  Reliable, punctual, and well-presented 
  •  Comfortable handling busy queues 
  •  Able to work as part of a team 
  •  Previous barista, café, dessert, or hospitality experience is helpful but not essential 
Shift Details

  •  Casual, flexible work across the cricket season 
  •  Shifts typically 6–10 hours
  •  Mixture of weekday and weekend fixtures 
  •  Opportunity to work at other major events and venues
